Garry co-founded Lion Associates (now Lion Interactive) in 1999 and has served as CEO until transitioning to Senior Partner. He is currently the chief financial, human resources and administrative officer, in which role he selectively consults with clients on business process reengineering and strategic applications of information technology.

Previously, Garry was a Vice President at A.T. Kearney Inc., a global management consulting firm, and a practice leader in its Transforming the Enterprise practice for 10 years. Prior to this he worked 12 years at the world’s oldest management consulting firm, Arthur D. Little, Inc., where he co-founded the Strategic Management practice and led the West Coast Information Technology Users practice. Before that, he worked 5 years for international accounting firm Arthur Young & Company in information technology consulting and computer auditing. He got his start in information technology consulting in 1969 programming the first IBM S/360 computer in General Motors’ NYC headquarters.

Garry has been active in local politics and community affairs, being elected for 12 years to the Mill Valley City Council (including 5 years as Mayor or Vice Mayor) and serving on numerous boards, commissions, and committees throughout the County of Marin. 

Garry earned his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He attended the Advanced Management College at Stanford University while at A.T. Kearney. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army and served a tour in Vietnam.
