Mark found success in the early years of the Internet Revolution (circa 1994) before founding Lion in 1999. He is Lion’s current managing partner as well as the lead on strategy and creative direction. Mark’s success is demonstrated in his list of award-winning projects, speakership roles at conferences, and professional accolades, which include invitations to White House round-tables, and positions on the board of directors for multiple startups.
An industry veteran, Mark attended California College of the Arts for design school and has subsequently overseen more than 500 projects spanning virtually all industries, with clients ranging in scale from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Client successes include Autodesk, Starwood Hotels, JW Marriott, Airbus, Constellation Brands, Texture, Flipboard, Telltale Games, UC Berkeley, Williams-Sonoma, and Pivotus Ventures.
One of the highlights of Mark’s career has been his 6-year relationship with Texture. Under Mark’s leadership, Mark led Lion in growing and steering this conglomeration of publishing titans, among which were Hearst Media, Meredith, Condé Nast, Time Magazine, and NewsCorp, to eventual acquisition by Apple.
